Holidays

All regular full time and regular part time employees shall receive the following paid holidays:

Labor Day Monday, September 1, 2025
Thanksgiving     Thursday, November 27, 2025
Day After Thanksgiving  Friday, November 28, 2025
Christmas Holiday Break   Wednesday, December 24, 2025 through Friday, January 2, 2026
Martin Luther King Day Monday, January 19, 2026
Good Friday    Friday, April 3, 2026
Easter Monday Monday, April 6, 2026
Memorial Day    Monday, May 25, 2026
Juneteenth Friday, June 19, 2026
Independence Day (observed) Friday, July 3, 2026
Other days 3:00 p.m. close on December 23rd, Wed before Thanksgiving, the day before Good Friday, and Memorial Day.

General Information

  • All employees may be informed of the scheduled dates for the observance of holidays via University News. Also, a list of holidays will be published annually in the Fall University Resource Directory.

  • Employees must be in a pay status either working, on Paid Time-Off, or on Short-Term Disability Bank benefit on the scheduled workdays prior to and following the scheduled holidays to be eligible for holiday pay.

  • Part-time employees shall receive holiday pay on a pro-rated basis (i.e., a clerical employee who works 22 hours per week shall receive 4.5 hours of holiday pay which is representative of 59% of full-time holiday pay).

  • Non exempt employees who are required to work on holidays will receive his/her regular pay for the holiday plus straight time payment for the hours worked on the holiday. Such holiday schedules shall be at the discretion of the unit head.
